Big Ideas at High Altitude

Join us on Longitudes for the inside scoop on the World Economic Forum.

Rudolf Douqué | UPS

Welcome to a new week on Longitudes, where we’ll focus on the 46th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in the ski-resort town of Davos, in the Swiss Alps.

UPS CEO David Abney will join leaders from business and politics, as well as influential journalists, academics and celebrities in Europe’s highest-altitude town to discuss the world’s most pressing issues. Leaders will tackle global security, climate change, trade and economic expansion, among other topics.

Running from Jan. 20 to 23, this year’s forum brings together 40 heads of state and 2,500 leaders from business and society, under the theme, Mastering the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

As Abney and other UPS leaders take in Davos, you’ll find several blog posts dedicated to the World Economic Forum (WEF) on Longitudes.

Want to stay up to speed on some of these global topics? Check out some of our blog posts on WEF-related topics such as climate change: Fighting Global Warming with Frugal Innovation, and global trade: Does Global Trade Need A Global Currency?
